The Louisville Cardinals and the North Carolina Tar Heels will meet up in college basketball action from the ACC Tournament Thursday.

Louisville enters this one at 20-12 overall on the year. The Cardinals are 2-1 in their last three games with both wins over Notre Dame—including Wednesday’s ACC Tournament victory.

In the Wednesday game, Louisville’s top scorer was Jordan Nwora with 24 points and nine boards. Also finishing in double-figures there for the Cardinals were Ryan McMahon (12 points; five rebounds) and Steven Enoch (10 points; seven rebounds).

Over on the North Carolina side, they’re 26-5 this season. The Tar Heels are on a seven-game win streak right now, taking out Syracuse, Clemson, Boston College and Duke in their last four games.

In the win over the Blue Devils, North Carolina’s Coby White led the team with 21 points, and Kenny Williams posted 18 points with six boards. Cameron Johnson doubled up in that one for the Tar Heels with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

The Cardinals are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 Thursday games and the over is 4-0 in their last four Thursday games. The under is 7-1 in Louisville’s last eight overall and the over is 6-2-1 in their last nine neutral-site games.

Meanwhile, the Tar Heels are 7-2 ATS in their last nine after an ATS win and 10-4 in their last 14 overall. North Carolina is also 10-4 in their last 14 versus the ACC and 1-5 ATS in their last six neutral-site games.

Since Falling to Virginia 69-61 back on February 11, the Tar Heels have dug in and fended off all comers, and the Clemson game (81-79) was the only close matchup in that lot.

I don’t see North Carolina having too many issues here so long as they distance themselves from the sketchy games of mid-January and commit to the extra effort necessary for tournament ball. I’m sticking with the Tar Heels here.
