The UNC Wilmington Seahawks and the North Carolina Tar Heels will be meeting up in college basketball activity on Wednesday.

UNCW comes into this one with a 4-5 record overall. The Seahawks have beaten Allen, Arkansas State, Eastern Illinois and East Carolina this year but dropped to Stanford, Campbell, UNCG, Gardner-Webb and Davidson.

In the Wildcats game, UNC Wilmington’s Devontae Cacok had a nice double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Jeantal Cylia also had a solid-scoring game with 18 points and three rebounds for the Seahawks.

Over on the North Carolina side, they’re 6-2 this season. The Tar Heels have taken out Wofford, Elon, Stanford, TN Tech, St. Francis PA and UCLA but lost two of their last three games to Texas and Michigan.

In the Wolverines game, UNC’s Coby White led the way on 12 points, four assists and four rebounds, while Luke Maye posted a double-double with his 11 points, 15 rebounds and one assist.

The Seahawks are 4-1 ATS in their last five non-conference games and 4-1 ATS in their last five overall. UNCW is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 versus the ACC and 1-5 ATS in their last six Wednesday games.

Meanwhile, the Tar Heels are 5-0 ATS in their last five versus the CAA and 2-5 ATS in their last seven following an ATS loss. North Carolina is 1-3-1 ATS in their last five Wednesday games and 1-4-1 ATS in their last six home games.

Despite their crummy record, the Seahawks have been putting up some pretty good points totals this season, including at least 82 in each of their last three outings. The Tar Heels are obviously on a different level however, so I don’t expect a whole lot of resistance here, even if they’re not at full strength (White will be out). I’m going to go with North Carolina on the cover.
