Saturday college basketball pits the North Dakota State Bison against the Drake Bulldogs.
The North Dakota State Bison are off to a 2-6 start in 2018-19 after suffering a 102-60 loss at Gonzaga. This was never in doubt with North Dakota behind by 18 points at the half with Gonzaga holding a huge 63.8%-35.4% shooting advantage including a 15-28 performance from beyond the arc.
The Bison received 16 points from Vinnie Shield on 6-12 from the floor but only 2-6 from long range. NDSU saw Cameron Hunter and Deng Geu toss in 12 points each with Geu grabbing six rebounds followed by Jarius Cook and Tyson Ward with seven points and six points respectively.
The Drake Bulldogs ran their record to 4-1 with an 83-74 victory against visiting Boise State on Tuesday. Drake led by ten after 20 minutes and traded baskets the rest of the way. Both teams sank shots at 43.1% but the Bulldogs turned 27 Boise State fouls in to a 28-10 advantage at the stripe.
Nick McGlynn led all scorers with 23 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks on 8-14 from the floor with Drake getting 18 points, five pulls and four assists from Nick Norton. Tremell Murphy gave the Bulldogs 13 points and eight boards on 5-10 while DJ Wilkins added ten points and four yanks on 4-9.
