Saturday college basketball pits the Eastern Washington Eagles against the North Dakota State Bison.
The Eastern Washington Eagles have been slow out of the gate with a 1-5 record after suffering an 88-68 defeat at Seattle as a four point road dog. The game was fairly even except in shooting the basketball with Eastern Washington connecting at 44.5% which couldn’t compete with the Redhawks 52.2% accuracy and nine more looks.
Jesse Hunt was the Eagles best player with a contest high 26 points and ten rebounds on 9-16 from the floor and 5-7 at the line. Luka Vulikic gave EWU 18 points, three yanks and three helpers on 7-12 from the field and 4-6 at the stripe followed by Cody Benzel and Elijah Jackson with five points apiece.
The North Dakota State Bison have been in a season long slide with a 2-7 record after dropping an 81-59 decision at Iowa State as a 21 point underdog. North Dakota State was looking at a 16 point deficit at the half with 36.5% shooting unable to compete with the Cyclones 50% accuracy.
The Bison lacked offensive punch with Rocky Kreuser leading the way with 13 points and two blocks on 4-11 including three makes from distance while Deng Geu added ten points and five rebounds on 5-8 marksmanship. Vinnie Shahid gave NDSU nine points, five boards and three helpers with eight points and another five rebounds coming from Tyson Ward.
Eastern Washington are 0-8 ATS in their last 8 games overall and Eastern Washington are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 Saturday games. NDSU are 1-8 ATS in their last 9 Saturday games and over is 17-4 in NDSU last 21 Saturday games and over is 8-2 in NDSU last 10 non-conference games.
