Summit League college basketball action on Saturday pits the Nebraska Omaha Mavericks against the North Dakota State Bison.

The Nebraska Omaha Mavericks continue to pile up the wins after knocking off Western Illinois 77-63 as a nine point favorite on Wednesday.

Nebraska Omaha has racked up five straight wins to move up to second in the Summit League behind South Dakota State with three games left in the season.

Zach Jackson poured in 21 points with three yanks and four assists for the Mavericks with KJ Robinson netting 17 points.

Nebraska Omaha saw 13 points and four pulls from JT Gibson followed by Matt Pile and Mitchell Hahn with 12 points apiece and 13 rebounds.

The surging North Dakota State Bison were cooled off for a night in a 78-77 loss to visiting South Dakota State a week ago.

North Dakota State had won five in a row to crack the top four in the conference with only three games remaining in the regular season.

Vinnie Shahid kept the Bison on upset alert with 19 points, four pulls and four assists with Tyson Ward adding 14 points and six boards.

NDSU saw eleven points and three yanks from Tyree Eady followed by Rocky Kruser and Jared Samuelson with ten points apiece.

Nebraska Omaha Mavericks are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 vs. Summit and Nebraska Omaha Mavericks are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a straight up win.

NDSU Bison are 5-0-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. Summit and NDSU Bison are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games.

North Dakota State has generally done well against the Mavericks but I will back the points with a solid team…

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
