UNF Ospreys -14 O/U 154.5
The Stetson Hatters and the North Florida Ospreys will meet up on the college basketball circuit Tuesday.
Stetson enters this one at 7-22 on the season. The Hatters are 2-1 in their last three games , with wins over FGCU and North America sandwiched between a loss to NJIT.
In the win over the Lions, Stetson’s top scorer was Leo Goodman on 16 points, three rebounds and one assist. Christiaan Jones added 15 points and six rebounds for the Hatters and Abayomi Iyiola put up 12 rebounds with eight points.
As for North Florida, they’re 14-16 this year. The Osprey are on a nice five-game win streak now, taking out North Alabama, Kennesseaw State, NJIT, Jacksonville and Liberty in that time.
In the win over the Flames, North Florida’s Garrett Simms led the team on 20 points with six rebounds and two assists. Al-Wajid Aminu added 19 points and eight rebounds for the Ospreys there and Carter Hendrickson had 13 points and six boards.
The Hatters are 5-1 ATS in their last six overall and 5-1 ATS in their last six versus the ACC. Stetson is 8-3 ATS in their last 11 after a straight-up win and the under is 5-2 in their last seven Tuesday games.
Meanwhile, the Osprey are 4-0 ATS in their last four after an ATS win and 5-0 ATS in their last five overall. North Florida is 5-0 ATS in their last five versus the ACC and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 home games.
Stetson can routinely hit the magic 70-plus points total, but those outings don’t seem to come around as often as they should. Usually the Hatters are finishing somewhere in the low 60s, or even the high 50s, which doesn’t bode well for anyone.
Looking at North Florida’s recent performances, I have to think they hold all the proverbial cards here and should cover without too much difficulty.
