|Date & Time||Saturday December 8, 2018, 6:00 PM (EST)|
The Line: North Texas Mean Green -12 -- Over/Under: 135.5
The Texas-Arlington Mavericks and the North Texas Mean Green will meet up in college basketball action Saturday.
Texas-Arlington enters this one at 3-6 this year. The Mavs’ losses have come courtesy of Texas A&M-CC, Indiana, Arkansas, Tulsa, UTRGV and Missouri.
In the Tigers game, TX-Arlington had no player in double-figures, but Andres Ibarguen was the leading scorer with nine points and six rebounds. Patrick Mwamba was the top rebounder for the Mavericks with nine.
Over on the North Texas side, they’re 9-1 this year. The Green’s only loss came against Oklahoma, and they were able to win their last outing against Indiana State 80-69.
In the Sycamores game, North Texas’ Ryan Woolridge logged a triple-double with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, while Jorden Duffy led the scoring on 23 points and two rebounds in the game.
TX-Arlington is 5-1 ATS in their last six versus CUSA and 2-9 ATS in their last 11 road games. The Mavericks are 0-4 ATS in their last four non-conference games and 0-4 ATS in their last four overall.
Meanwhile, the Mean Green are 13-6 ATS in their last 19 non-conference games and 1-4 ATS in their last five versus the Sun Belt. North Texas is 1-5 ATS in their last six Saturday games and the over is 4-1 in their last five home games.
Well, there’s not much to get excited about when you’re looking at Texas-Arlington. They’ve lost their last five and looked pretty bad doing it, not scoring more than 65 in any game during that stretch.
North Texas isn’t exactly blowing up the scoreboard this season, but I don’t think they’ll have much trouble on a cover here.
