Eastern Michigan Eagles (4-4) at Northeastern Huskies (3-4)

The Line: Northeastern Huskies -8 -- Over/Under: 135.5
The Eastern Michigan Eagles and the Northeastern Huskies will meet on the college basketball circuit Saturday.
Eastern Michigan comes in here at a choppy 4-4 on the year. The Eagles have taken out Rochester, Drexel, Goshen and Boston U while falling to Duke, Rutgers, Detroit and TCU this season.
In the TCU matchup, EMU’s Boubacar Toure led the charge with a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. Paul Jackson also had a nice outing for the Eagles with 18 points, six assists and two rebounds.
Over on the Huskies’ side, they’re 3-4 this season. Northeastern has fallen to Boston U, Virginia Tech and Davidson this year while taking out Harvard, Alabama and Bucknell.
In the Bison game, Northeastern’s Tomas Murphy logged a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds, as did Donnell Gresham with 16 points and 11 assists with four rebounds. Jordan Roland chipped in 17 points for the Huskies.
Eastern Michigan is 5-2 ATS in their last seven Saturday games and 1-6 ATS in their last seven non-conference games. The Eagles are 1-6 ATS in their last seven overall and 0-4 ATS in their last four road games.
Meanwhile, the Huskies are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games and the over is 7-2 in their last nine non-conference games. Northeastern is 2-5 ATS in their last seven after scoring more than 90 in their previous game and the under is 5-2 in their last seven home games.
The Eagles seem to be prone to offensive slumber against tougher teams this season; they put up just 46 points against Duke and 36 versus Rutgers.
Northeastern seems a little more consistent scoring-wise, but they’re also giving up a lot of points on the other side.
All things considered, I like the Huskies to step up and manage a cover here.
