Northeastern Huskies -10.5 O/U: 148.5
The William & Mary Tribe and the Northeastern Huskies will match up on the college basketball court Thursday.
William & Mary is currently sitting at 9-14 on the season. Following a five-game losing streak last month, the Tribe have won their last two outings versus Drexel and Delaware.
In the win over the Blue Hens, William & Mary’s Chase Audige led the team on 17 points, 10 rebounds and four assists. Nathan Knight also logged 17 points for the Tribe in that one, adding nine rebounds and three assists as well.
Over on the Northeastern side, they’re 13-9 this year. The Huskies have won six of their last seven games, taking out Elon, William & Mary, Charleston, UNCW, JMU and Hofstra in that stretch.
In the win over the Pride, Northeastern’s lead scorer was Vasa Pusica, with 24 points, eight rebounds and one assist. Donnell Gresham added 18 points for the Huskies there, and Bolden Brace logged 11 points with 10 rebounds for a double-double.
The Tribe are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games and 1-6 ATS in their last seven overall. William & Mary is also 1-6 ATS in their last seven versus the CAA and 0-5 ATS in the last five Thursday games.
Meanwhile, the Huskies are 7-1 ATS in their last eight overall and 7-1 ATS in their last eight versus the CAA. Northeastern is 5-1 ATS in their last six after an ATS win and 4-1 ATS in their last five after a straight-up win.
William & Mary has a solid lineup of scorers this season, and more often than not they finish on the far side of 70 points (aside from a notable 59 in the Charleston game). The issue is usually defense for the Tribe, but they’ve kept that under control in their last pair.
Given that Northeastern is a pretty solid scoring team as well, this one should be flirting with the over if everything pans out. Aside from that, I like the Huskies at home on the cover.
