Northern Arizona Lumberjacks -2 O/U: 148
The Idaho State Bengals and the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks will meet up on the college basketball court Thursday.
The Bengals enter this matchup with an 8-12 mark so far. Following five straight losses, Idaho State managed a 69-67 victory over Portland State in their most recent outing on Saturday.
In the win over the Vikings, the Bengals were led by Gary Chivichyan’s 16 points. Brandon Boyd and Balint Mocsan each added 14 points for Idaho State in that one, with a combined eight assists and five rebounds.
Over on the Northern Arizona side, they’re 7-14 this year. Following consecutive wins over Southern Utah and Idaho, the Lumberjacks lost their last outing versus Eastern Washington.
In the loss to the Eagles, Northern Arizona’s lead scorers were Bernie Andre and Luke Avdalovic, each with 13 points and a combined 12 rebounds. Ted McCree was the only other Lumberjack in double-figures there with 11 points.
Idaho State is 8-3 ATS in their last 11 Thursday games and 1-4-1 ATS in their last six overall. The Bengals are 1-4-1 ATS in their last six versus the Big Sky and 4-11 ATS in their last 15 after a straight-up win.
Meanwhile, the Lumberjacks are 5-0 ATS in their last five after an ATS loss and 4-1 ATS in their last five after a straight-up loss. Northern Arizona is also 2-5 ATS in their last seven Thursday games and the under is 5-0 in their last five Thursday games.
The Bengals have had a pretty sketchy run of scoring lately, and they’ve failed to hit 70 points in five of their last six outings. Northern Arizona has had some difficulties as well, such as their 48 points versus Northern Colorado.
There’s not a whole lot to like here, but with the home lift I’m hesitantly going with the Lumberjacks on the cover.
