Northern Arizona Lumberjacks +5.5 O/U: 151
The Weber State Wildcats and the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks will meet up on the college basketball circuit Saturday.
Weber State comes into this matchup at 14-9 on the year. The Wildcats have lost three of their last four games, taking out Sac State and falling to Montana, Portland State and Southern Utah in that stretch.
In the loss to the Thunderbirds, Weber State’s lead scorer was Michal Kozak with 12 points and two rebounds. Cody John added 11 points, seven rebounds and three assists for the Wildcats there, and Brekkot Chapman had 10 rebounds with six points.
Over on the Northern Arizona side, they’re 7-15 this season. Following consecutive wins over Southern Utah and Idaho, the Lumberjacks have lost their last two to Eastern Washington and Idaho State.
In the loss to the Bengals, Northern Arizona was led by Bernie Andre on 19 points and seven rebounds. Putting up 13 points for the Lumberjacks was Ted McCree, and Luke Avdalovic added 10 points with six boards.
Weber State is 4-0 ATS in their last four Saturday games and 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 after an ATS loss. The Wildcats are 6-2 ATS in their last eight overall and 6-2 ATS in their last eight versus the Big Sky.
Meanwhile, the Lumberjacks are 5-1 ATS in their last six after an ATS loss and 4-1 ATS in the last five Saturday games. The over is 9-2 in NAU’s last 11 Saturday games and 8-3 in the last 11 versus a team with a winning straight-up record.
Weber State has had some tough luck lately, and even when their defense is on point they have trouble getting it done on the other side.
The last time these teams met up was on January 3 in a 77-52 home win for the Wildcats. I expect Northern Arizona to play better here, so I’m going with the Lumberjacks on the cover.
