Northern Colorado Bears -9.5 O/U: 151
The Southern Utah Thunderbirds and the Northern Colorado Bears will clash in college basketball activity on Thursday.
Southern Utah rolls into this one at 9-7 on the season. The Thunderbirds have won their last four outings, taking out Weber State Northern Arizona, Portland State and Sacramento State in that span.
In the victory over the Hornets, Southern Utah’s lead scorer was Cameron Oluyitan, with 21 points, five rebounds and one assist. Andre Adams added 17 points, nine rebounds and three assists for the Bears in that one.
Over on the Northern Colorado side, they’re 12-7 this year. The Bears are 2-1 in their last three games, falling to Weber State and taking out Montana State and Idaho State during that stretch.
In the win versus the Bengals, Northern Colorado’s Jordan Davis was the high man on 19 points, eight assists and three rebounds. Jonah Radebauh added 16 points, eight rebounds and three assists there for the Bears.
The Thunderbirds are 5-2 ATS in their last seven versus a team with a winning straight-up record and 1-4 ATS in their last five home games. The over is 6-1 in Southern Utah’s last seven overall and 24-9 in their last 33 versus the Big Sky.
Meanwhile, the Bears are 12-4 ATS in their last 16 versus the Big Sky and 2-5 ATS in their last seven after an ATS win. Northern Colorado is 1-5 ATS in their last six home games and 1-5 ATS in their last six versus a team with a winning straight-up record.
Southern Utah’s win over the Hornets was a weird one. The Thunderbirds were up 41-18 at the half, but allowed Sac State to crawl back to a 76-71 result. Still, it marked a continuation of a nice scoring run for Southern Utah.
Northern Colorado has also had some nice points totals lately, but that line looks a little thick to me. I’m going to go with the Thunderbirds to get into a cover here.
