Northern Colorado Bears -5 O/U: 144.5
The Weber State Wildcats and the Northern Colorado Bears will match up on the college basketball court Thursday.
Weber State comes in here at 16-11 on the season. The Wildcats are 1-2 in their last three games, with a win over Montana State sandwiched between losses to Montana and Sacramento State.
In the loss to the Hornets, Weber State’s top scorer was Caleb Nero with 18 points. Adding a double-double was Brekkott Chapman with 16 points and 11 boards, and Cody John chipped in 15 points with six boards.
Over on the Northern Colorado side, they’re 18-9 this season. The Bears have won four of their last five games, taking out Portland State, Sacramento State, Idaho and Montana in that time.
In their win over the Grizzlies, Northern Colorado’s Jordan Davis led the team on 23 points with four rebounds and three assists. Jonah Radebaugh was the only other Bears player in double-figures there with 10 points and six boards.
The Wildcats are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games and 4-1 ATS in their last five after a straight-up loss. Weber State is 9-3 ATS in the last 12 overall and 9-3 ATS in their last 12 versus the Big Sky.
Meanwhile, the Bears are 6-0 ATS in their last six Thursday games and 17-7 ATS in their last 24 versus the Big Sky. Northern Colorado is 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games and 2-6 ATS in the last eight after an ATS win.
Weber State could easily be on a four-game win streak right now, had they finished their comeback against Montana (down 40-24 at the half with an 83-80 final) and taken care of business against a “blah” Sac State team (78-76).
The Wildcats secured a 78-64 win the last time these teams met up, but Northern Colorado has been playing well lately and I like them to stick around here. I’m going Bears.
