Northern Kentucky Norse -11.5 O/U: 162.5
The Green Bay Phoenix and the Northern Kentucky Norse will match up in college basketball action on Thursday.
Green Bay comes into this one at 10-10 on the year. After falling in consecutive games to Detroit, Oakland and IUPUI, the Phoenix got a win in their last game versus UIC.
In the win over the Flames, Green Bay’s Sandy Cohen led the scoring with 26 points, seven rebounds and four assists. JayQuan McCloud also had a nice night for the Phoenix with his 21 points, six rebounds and three assists.
Over on the Northern Kentucky side, they’re 16-4 this season. The Norse are on a nice four-game win streak, taking out Detroit, Wright State, Cleveland State and Youngstown State during that stretch.
In the victory over the Penguins, Northern Kentucky’s Drew McDonald logged 23 points with seven rebounds and one assist to lead the team. Both Jalen Tate and Tyler Sharpe added 13 points apiece for the Norse there.
The Phoenix are 2-5 ATS in their last seven road games and 1-5 ATS in their last six overall. Green Bay is 1-5 ATS in their last six versus the Horizon League and 0-5 ATS in their last five following a straight-up win.
Meanwhile, the Norse are 1-4 ATS in their last five Thursday games and the under is 4-1-1 in their last six home games. The under is 11-4 in NKU’s last 15 Thursday games and the road team is 3-1-1 ATS in the last five meetings between these two teams.
Green Bay’s offense is still clicking pretty well, as they’re putting up nice points totals. That said, they’re also giving up a truckload on the other side—hence the high O/U here.
Northern Kentucky is also scoring at a great clip, and a few of their recent wins have been blowouts. That line is pretty thick but I like the Norse to keep it going and cover in this one.
