The Line: Northern Kentucky Norse -8 -- Over/Under: 144.5
The IUPUI Jaguars and the Northern Kentucky Norse will meet up in college basketball action on Friday.
IUPUI enters this one at 8-5 on the season overall. The Jaguars’ losses have come at the hands of Xavier, Richmond, Ball State, Fort Wayne and Morehead State so far this year.
In the Eagles game, IUPUI’s Camron Justice put up 20 points with three assists and one rebound to lead the team. Elyjah Goss just missed doubling up on 11 points and nine rebounds, and Jaylen Minnett chipped in 11 points as well.
Over on the Northern Kentucky side, they’re currently 10-3 this year. Since the beginning of December, the Norse have fallen to Cincinnati and Eastern Kentucky, then beaten Miami OH and Northern Illinois.
In the Huskies game, Northern Kentucky’s Drew McDonald doubled up with 15 points and 12 rebounds, while both Tyler Sharpe and Jalen Tate added 14 points and a combined eight rebounds.
The Jaguars are 4-1 ATS in their last five versus the Horizon League and 3-1-1 ATS in their last five Friday games. IUPUI is 5-2-1 ATS in their last eight road games and 10-4-2 ATS in their last 16 overall.
Meanwhile, the Norse are 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 Friday games and 1-4 ATS in their last five home games. Northern Kentucky is 1-6 ATS in their last seven following an ATS loss and 0-4 ATS in their last four overall.
IUPUI has now lost consecutive games for the first time this season. The good news is that the Jaguars have been scoring well in those games with 147 overall, but allowed 161.
As for the Norse, they’ve beaten a couple of solid teams in their last two outings following their own two-game slide.
Northern Kentucky has been prone to scoring slumps at times this season, but for the most part they’re keeping things under control on the other side. I’m going to take the Norse here.
