The Line: Notre Dame Fighting Irish PK -- Over/Under:
Up at Joyce Center on Saturday, the Florida State Seminoles and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will be meeting up on the college basketball circuit.
Florida State enters this game with a 17-7 record overall. The Seminoles have lost two of their last three games, falling to Virginia on Wednesday. In that one, Florida State’s MJ Walker managed 10 points.
Terance Mann is the top scorer for the Seminoles this year with 14.9 PPG and 5.8 RPG. Also in double-digits for Florida State are Brainan Angola (13.8 PPG; 4.3 RPG) and Phil Cofer (13.3 PPG; 5.4 RPG).
As for Notre Dame, they’re currently 14-10 on the year. The Irish had lost seven straight games but got a win over Boston College on Tuesday. In that game, Notre Dame’s TJ Gibbs put up 28 points.
Heading up the stat sheet for Notre Dame is Bonzie Colson with 21.4 PPG and 10.4 RPG, and Gibbs has 16.2 PPG. Also in double-digits for the Irish are Matt Farrell (15.9 PPG) and Martinas Geben (10.1 PPG; 7.9 RPG).
The Seminoles are 5-0 ATS in their last five Saturday games and 4-1 ATS in their last five following an ATS loss. Florida State is also 3-1-1 ATS in their last five following a straight-up loss and the over is 4-1 in their last five Saturday games.
Meanwhile, the Irish are 2-5 ATS in their last seven Saturday games and 1-4 ATS in their last five games following an ATS win. Notre Dame is also 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall and 1-5 ATS in the last six versus the ACC.
Florida State had a nice offensive run going until the Virginia game, where they put up just 55 points (but only allowed 59). Notre Dame, meanwhile, hasn't been doing much on either side, but did have a good game versus Boston College. I think that may carry over here so I’ll take the Irish for a win.
