Maryland at Ohio State

Ohio State Buckeyes -1.5 O/U: 139
The Maryland Terrapins and the Ohio State Buckeyes will meet up in college basketball action on Friday.
Maryland comes into this game with a pretty solid 15-3 record so far. The Terrapins are sitting on a six-game win streak, taking out Radford, Nebraska, Rutgers, Minnesota, Indiana and Wisconsin in that span.
In the win over the Badgers, Maryland’s Anthony Cowan put up 21 points, six rebounds and three assists to lead the team. Eric Ayala and Jalen Smith each added 11 points for the Terrapins in that one as well.
Over on the Buckeyes’ side, they’re 12-4 this season. However, following a win over High Point on December 29, Ohio State has dropped three straight games versus Michigan State, Rutgers and Iowa.
In the loss to the Hawkeyes, Ohio State’s Andre Wesson logged 13 points, four assists and three rebounds as the top scorer on the team. The only other Buckeye player to finish in double-figures was CJ Jackson with 10 points, four rebounds and three assists.
The Terrapins are 5-0 ATS in their last five road games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven versus the Big Ten. Maryland is 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 overall and 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 Friday games.
Meanwhile, the Buckeyes are 2-5 ATS in their last seven versus the Big Ten and 1-4 ATS in their last five home games. Ohio State is 0-4 ATS in their last four overall and 1-4 ATS in their last five following an ATS loss.
Since falling to a tricky Seton Hall team on December 22, the Terrapins have looked pretty darn good again, and are rolling along at a nice clip despite a couple of close calls over the past half-dozen games.
The Buckeyes, meanwhile, are a pretty strong team, but not a top-shelf talent like Maryland is turning into this year. The Terrapins can hang with anybody in the country if they’re on their game, so I don’t have any issues taking Maryland on a win and cover here. The Buckeyes aren’t doing so well ATS lately anyway.
