The Central Michigan Chippewas and the Ohio Bobcats meet in college basketball action from Ohio University Convocation Center on Tuesday.

The Chippewas enter this one at 13-11 so far. Central Michigan is on a three-game losing streak right now, falling to Buffalo, Eastern Michigan and Akron in succession during that time.

In the loss to the Zips, Central Michigan’s Travon Broadway led the way on 17 points with five rebounds. Dallas Morgan had 14 points with two rebounds and two assists there, and Devontae Lane had 12 points with five rebounds and five assists.

Over on the Ohio side, they’re 12-13 on the year. After consecutive wins over Miami-OH and Western Michigan, the Bobcats fell in their last outing to Kent State 87-72.

In the loss to the Flashes, Ohio’s Jason Preston put up 20 points with 12 assists and eight rebounds. Lunden McDay had 14 points there, and Sylvester Ogbonda had 13 points with seven rebounds.

Ohio is 160-124 ATS in all home games since 1997 and 16-4 ATS after allowing 80 points or more over the last three seasons. The Bobcats are 20-31 ATS in all games over the last two seasons.

Meanwhile, the Chippewas are 3-0 ATS versus Ohio over the last three seasons and 3-0 straight up versus Ohio over the last three seasons. Central Michigan is 22-8 ATS versus conference opponents over the last two seasons and 20-9 ATS after a conference game over the last two seasons.

When Central Michigan is on, they can score pretty well. the Chippewas hung 85 on Western Michigan and 92 on Bowling Green, but they’ve been at 67 or below in two of their last three, including a paltry 60 in a five-point loss to Buffalo.

As for Ohio, they can score well when they’re rolling too, so this should be a pretty interesting matchup. I’m going to stick with the Bobcats to eke one out here but probably staying away.
