The Ohio Bobcats host the FIU Golden Panthers in non-conference college basketball on Saturday.

The Florida International Golden Panthers look for consecutive victories after upending sub-division Florida Memorial 108-67. This was never in doubt with FIU storming to a 23 point lead after 20 minutes and keeping the pressure on behind a 50.7%-35.9% shooting edge and 17 more makes at the line.

Willy Nunez Jr topped the Golden Panthers scoring parade with 22 points with Devon Andrews adding 19 points, six rebounds and four steals. Florida International received 17 points, six helpers and three steals from Brian Beard Jr. while Trejon Jacob, Marcus Burwell and Isaiah Banks tossed in ten points apiece.

The Ohio Bobcats chance at a third straight win never materialized in a 95-67 rout at the hands of Purdue as a 16.5 road dog. Ohio trailed by 13 heading to the intermission and were never a factor with the Boilermakers holding a 56.7%-41.1% edge in marksmanship.

Teyvion Kirk and Ben Vander Plas gave the Bobcats 15 points apiece and a combined seven rebounds on 9-19 from the floor and 8-12 at the stripe. Connor Murrell gave Ohio nine points with Gavin Block chipping in with eight points.

Over is 7-2 in FIU last 9 overall and over is 7-2 in FIU last 9 non-conference games and over is 9-3-1 in FIU last 13 road games. Ohio are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 home games and Ohio are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall.

Both teams can give up points and score so small on the over…

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
