Coming up from Gallagher-Iba Arena on Wednesday, the Texas Tech Red Raiders and the Oklahoma State Cowboys will be meeting up on the college basketball circuit.
Texas Tech enters this game with a 22-5 record overall. The Raiders had won seven straight games, but dropped one to Baylor on Saturday. In that one, Texas Tech guard Zhaire smith put up 15 points.
Keenan Evans is the leading scorer for the Red Raiders this year with 18.2 PPG. Also in double-figures for Texas Tech this season are Smith (10.8 PPG; 4.7 RPG) and Jarrett Culver (10.8 PPG; 4.2 RPG).
As for Oklahoma State, they’re currently 15-12 this year. The Cowboys have lost three of their last four games, and fell to TCU on Saturday. In that TCU game, Oklahoma State guard Kendall Smith managed 21 points.
Topping the stat sheet for the Cowboys this year is Jeffrey Carroll with 15.0 PPG and 6.0 RPG. Smith (12.5 PPG) and Tavarius Shine (10.7 PPG; 3.6 RPG) are also in double-figures for Oklahoma State.
Texas Tech is 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall and 4-1 ATS in their last five versus the Big 12. The Raiders are also 1-4 ATS in their last five following a straight-up loss and the under is 12-5 in their last 18 versus the Big 12.
Meanwhile, the Cowboys are 15-7 ATS in their last 22 following an ATS loss and 5-11 ATS in their last 16 versus the Big 12. OK State is also 2-10 ATS in their last 12 home games and 0-4 ATS in their last four Wednesday games.
Texas Tech had a pretty good run going in their winning streak, scoring at least 70 points in six of seven games, but posted just 57 points against the Bears. As for OK State, they’ve put up at least 70 points in each of their last two games, but they’ve also given up 172 points in that span. I’m going to stick with Texas Tech here.
