The Line: Oklahoma Sooners -3 -- Over/Under: 141
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will take on the Oklahoma Sooners on Tuesday in college basketball action.
Oklahoma comes in here at 6-1 on the year. The Sooners fell to Wisconsin but otherwise have rolled through UTRGV, UTSA, Wofford, Florida, Dayton and North Texas this season so far.
In the Mean Green game, Oklahoma’s Miles Reynolds led the team on 17 points, three rebounds and one assist, and Jamuni McNeace logged a nice double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Over on the Notre Dame side, they’re 6-1 on the season as well. The Irish fell to Radford in their third game but have beaten UIC, Chicago State, William & Mary, Duquesne, DePaul and Illinois otherwise.
In the Illinois matchup, Notre Dame’s Temple Gibbs and DJ Harvey each posted 19 points, and the pair had 10 rebounds with four assists between them. Prentiss Hubb and Juwan Durham also provided 10 points apiece for the Irish.
The Sooners are 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven overall and 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven non-conference games. Oklahoma is 3-8 ATS in their last 11 neutral-site games and 4-1 ATS in their last five after a straight-up win.
Meanwhile, the Irish are 7-2 ATS in their last nine after an ATS loss and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 neutral-site games. Notre Dame is 2-5 ATS in their last seven following a straight-up win and the under is 10-4 in their last 14 overall.
Oklahoma has shown some nice outings here and there, but I’d like to see more consistent offense against the bigger schools. Playing Notre Dame will provide that opportunity, but I’m not so sure the Sooners can dominate here. I’m going to go with the Irish on the cover.
