The Oklahoma Sooners dropped to 12-3 (1-2 Big 12) on the season after being defeated by the 8th ranked Texas Tech Red Raiders, 66-59, this past Tuesday night. Oklahoma went into halftime with a 35-31 lead, however, the Sooners offense struggled against the Red Raiders defense in the 2nd half and couldn’t fight back after Texas Tech took a 58-53 lead with 2:58 left in regulation. Oklahoma shot just 32.3% from the field & 31.0% from beyond the arc in the loss. Leading the way for the Sooners was Christian James who had 14 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block, and a steal.

TCU couldn’t pull off the win at Kansas, however, this a talented and experienced team that currently ranks 60th in scoring offense, 18th in FG%, and 70th in scoring defense. Oklahoma has lost 2 of their last 3 games, but it’s hard to fault the Sooners considering they were both competitive games at Kansas & Texas Tech. Oklahoma is much more well-rounded team this season and have been led by their defense that ranks 60th in scoring defense, 11th in defensive FG%, and 44th in rebound margin.
TCU has struggled recently ATS in Big-12 play, however, I’m high on this the Horned Frogs this season and think they just have more talent than the Sooners. I expect this game to be a dog-fight that comes down to the last few possessions and think TCU at worst, will pull a cover with the points.
