The Stags are 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 Sunday games, however, are just 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Monarchs are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 home games and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400.
Fairfield has been competitive in their losses but it’s going to be hard for the Stags to have success this season if they don’t improve a defense that currently ranks 291st in scoring defense & 337th in defensive FG%. Old Dominion is a team that can struggle on the offensive end however, they can afford to do so as they have one of the best defensives in the country and currently rank 4th in scoring defense and 5th in defensive FG%. Old Dominion is a tough team to play at home and as the Fairfield offense isn’t as dynamic with Tyler Nelson no longer around, I’m taking the Monarchs to cover this large home spread.
