The Golden Eagles are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record and 6-1 ATS in their last 7 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.
Southern Miss has won 4 of their last 7 games and although their offense ranks just 244th in scoring offense, the Golden Eagles have been solid defensively as they rank 25th in scoring defense, 35th in defensive FG%, and 23rd in turnover margin. Old Dominion has won 3 of their last 4 games and has one of the better defenses in the country as the Monarchs currently rank 7th in scoring defense & 10th in defensive FG%.
Old Dominion is a solid team and have an impressive 9-1 record at home, however, Southern Miss has a very solid defense which could give the Monarchs offense some trouble. The Golden Eagles lost by less than 4-points to both Wichita State & Kansas State on the road earlier this season and as I think this is going to be a low-scoring game, I just can’t pass up on this many points. Take Southern Miss and the points.
