Ole Miss Rebels -1.5 O/U: 148
The Iowa State Cyclones and the Ole Miss Rebels will match up in college basketball activity on Saturday.
Iowa State comes into this one with a 14-5 mark this season. The Cyclones are now 2-3 in their last five games, beating Texas Tech and OK State but falling to Baylor, Kansas State and Kansas.
In the loss to Kansas, Iowa State’s Marial Shayok led the team on 26 points with six rebounds and one assist. Talen Horton-Tucker added 16 points, and Michael Jacobson doubled up with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Over on the Mississippi side, they’re 14-4 this season. The Rebels are just 1-2 in their last three games though, with a win over Arkansas sandwiched between losses to LSU and Alabama.
In the loss to the Tide, Ole Miss’ only player to reach double-figures was Terence Davis, with 10 points and three rebounds. The next closest Rebels player to that mark was Breein Tyree with nine points, four rebounds and two assists.
The Cyclones are 4-1 ATS in their last five following an ATS win and 6-2 ATS in their last eight overall. Iowa State is 5-2-1 ATS in their last eight non-conference games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games.
Meanwhile, the Rebels are 6-0 ATS in their last six Saturday games and 7-1 ATS in their last eight home games. Ole Miss is 13-3 ATS in their last 16 non-conference games and 16-5 ATS in their last 21 overall.
Iowa State had a 42-37 lead on the Jayhawks at halftime, but let things slip away in the second half and were outscored 43-34 the rest of the game. It’s been a pretty rough stretch of outings for the Cyclones since that home win over Kansas.
Mississippi hasn’t looked like themselves lately either, and may have some hangover from that ugly loss to the Tide.
I don’t really trust either one of these teams right now, but I like the Cyclones a little better here.
