Ole Miss Rebels +4.5 O/U: 151.5
The Tennessee Volunteers and the Ole Miss Rebels will meet up on the college basketball court Wednesday.
Tennessee comes into this one with a 24-3 mark on the year. The Volunteers are just 1-2 in their last three games, with a win over Vanderbilt sandwiched between losses to Kentucky and LSU.
In the OT loss to the Tigers, Tennessee’s Admiral Schofield led the team on 27 points with nine rebounds. Grant Williams added 18 points and nine rebounds for the Vols there and Jordan Bone had 13 points.
Over on the Ole Miss side, they’re 19-8 on the year. Following consecutive losses to Missouri and South Carolina, the Rebels won their last outing 72-71 versus Georgia on Saturday.
In the win over the Bulldogs, Ole Miss’ lead scorer was Breein Tyree with 17 points, four rebounds and two assists. Devontae Shuler put up 16 points, three rebounds and three assists in that one for the Rebels as well.
The Volunteers are 17-7 ATS in their last 24 road games and 0-3-1 ATS in the last four Wednesday games. Tennessee is 0-4 ATS in the last four overall and 0-4 ATS in the last four versus the SEC.
Meanwhile, the Rebels are 6-1 ATS in their last seven Wednesday games and 12-3 ATS in their last 15 after a straight-up win and 20-8 ATS in their last 28 overall. Ole Miss is 1-4 ATS in the last five home games and 13-6 ATS in their last 19 versus a team with a winning straight-up record.
Had Tennessee pulled out a win over LSU, I’d be concerned that this Ole Miss matchup would be a trap game. As it stands however, the Volunteers will likely have some extra push here, thanks to the team not playing so great over their last three outings.
I think Mississippi gives a good show at home here, as they’ve put up at least 72 points in each of their last six games in Oxford. I like the Rebels to stick around in this one and cover.
