Oral Roberts Golden Eagles -1.5 O/U: 146.5
The Denver Pioneers and the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles will meet up on the college basketball court Thursday.
Denver is currently sitting at 7-16 on the year. Following consecutive wins over North Dakota State and Oral Roberts, Denver has lost their last pair versus Fort Wayne and South Dakota State.
In the loss to the Jackrabbits, Denver’s David Nzekwesi led the way on 21 points and six rebounds, and Jase Townsend added 17 points. Ade Murkey also finished in double-figures for the Pioneers there with 10 points and five boards.
Over on the Oral Roberts side, they’re 8-17 on the season. The Golden Eagles have lost their last four straight games versus Denver, ND State, SD State and Fort Wayne.
In the loss to the Mastodons, Oral Roberts’ Sam Kearns led the team on 27 points, seven assists and four rebounds. Kevin Obanor and DJ Weaver each had 19 points for the Golden Eagles in that one as well.
The Pioneers are 6-2 ATS in the last eight Thursday games and 6-13-1 ATS in their last 20 overall. Denver is 3-7-1 ATS in the last 11 after an ATS loss and 8-21-1 ATS in their last 30 road games.
Meanwhile, the Eagles are 5-1 ATS in their last six home games and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 Thursday games. The over is 6-0 in Oral Roberts’ last six Thursday games and 9-3 in their last 12 versus the Summit.
In their last four games, Denver has been scoring pretty well, with at least 74 points in each. Interestingly enough, the Pioneers scored 161 combined in their last pair, but gave up 182 on the other side in the losses.
As for Oral Roberts, they’re in a similar situation over their last two, with 161 scored and 168 allowed. Still, that seems to be contrary to a lot of their recent games, so I’m going with the Pioneers to pull off a road cover (or win) here.
