The North Dakota Fighting Hawks visit the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles in Summit League college basketball.

The North Dakota Fighting Hawks opened conference play with an 84-73 loss to visiting Purdue Fort Wayne as a 1.5 point home dog. North Dakota fell behind by 16 points at the break behind 38.8% shooting.

Aanen Moody was the Fighting Hawks top offensive threat with 21 points and six rebounds on 7-20 from the floor while Marlon Stewart adding 18 points and ten helpers on 6-14 accuracy and 4-6 at the line.

Kienan Walter gave North Dakota 14 points and eight rebounds on 5-7 marksmanship but no other player scored more than five points.

The Oral Roberts Golden Eagles have a rare opportunity for back to back wins after downing Nebraska Omaha 87-84 as an eight point home favorite on Sunday. 

Emmanuel Nzekwesi led the 53.4% shooting Golden Eagles with a contest high 28 points and 14 rebounds on 12-19 marksmanship and 4-7 at the stripe followed by DJ Weaver with 21 points on 7-10 from beyond the arc.

Kevin Obanor gave Oral Roberts 19 points and eight boards on 6-8 from the field and 7-7 at the stripe with Sam Kearns adding eleven points and seven helpers.

Over is 18-7 in North Dakota last 25 road games and over is 7-3 in North Dakota last 10 Thursday games. Over is 15-5 in Oral Roberts last 20 home games and over is 43-20 in Oral Roberts last 63 overall.

It is a pick your poison scenario in my view but the Golden Eagle at home is the way I’m looking…
