Pacific Tigers +6.5 O/U: 138
The San Francisco Dons and the Pacific Tigers will match up in college basketball activity on Thursday.
San Francisco enters this matchup on a 14-3 record so far. Following consecutive wins over Saint Mary’s and Pepperdine, the Dons were tripped up by Gonzaga in their last outing Saturday.
In the loss to the Bulldogs, the Dons’ top scorer was Frankie Ferrari, with 21 points, four assists and three rebounds. Charles Minlend added 14 points, while Matt McCarthy and Nate Renfro each logged 12 points for San Fran.
Over on the Pacific side, they’re sitting at 11-8 on the year. The Tigers had a three-game losing streak going versus BYU, San Diego and Gonzaga, but won their last game versus Portland Saturday.
In the win over the Pilots, Pacific’s Lafayette Dorsey logged 21 points, two rebounds and an assist to lead the team. Doubling up in that one for the Tigers was Jahlil Tripp, with 17 points and 11 boards.
The Dons are 4-1 ATS in the last five Thursday games and 2-5 ATS in the last seven road games. San Francisco is 1-5 ATS in their last six overall and 1-5 ATS in their last six versus the West Coast.
Meanwhile, the Tigers are 4-0 ATS in their last four home games and 9-2-1 ATS in their last 12 Thursday games. Pacific is 2-7 ATS in their last nine after an ATS win and the over is 6-2 in their last eight after a straight-up win.
San Francisco actually played Gonzaga pretty well; the one that probably still stings is the 73-71 loss to UCSB back on December 29, a game the Dons could have—and should have—won.
As for Pacific, they’ve just been really uninspiring on the scoreboard lately. The Tigers mustered just 36 points versus Gonzaga, 64 versus San Diego and 65 in an odd win over Portland.
I’m going to have to stick with the Dons here; they seem like the more reliable team right now and shouldn’t have too many issues in this one.
