The Iowa Hawkeyes and the Penn State Nittany Lions will meet up on the college basketball court Wednesday.

Iowa rolls into this game at 14-3 on the season. The Hawkeyes have won three straight games since their loss to Purdue, taking out Nebraska, Northwestern and Ohio State in succession.

In the win over the Buckeyes, Iowa’s lead scorer was Luka Garza with 16 points, four rebounds and one assist. Tyler Cook added 16 points and eight rebounds for the Hawkeyes, and Joe Wieskamp added 10 points and seven rebounds.

Over on the Penn State side, they’re sitting at 7-10 on the year. The Lions have lost their last four straight games, dropping to Michigan, Wisconsin, Nebraska and Michigan State in succession.

In the loss to the Spartans, Penn State’s Lamar Stevens led the team on 20 points, six rebounds and one assist. Mike Watkins, Josh Reaves and Myles Dread each scored 11 points for the Nittany Lions in that one as well.

Iowa is 4-9 ATS in the last 13 Wednesday games and 4-11-1 ATS in their last 16 road games. The under is 6-2 in Iowa’s last eight overall and the over is 5-2 in the last seven Wednesday games.

Meanwhile, the Nittany Lions are 2-8-1 ATS in their last 11 overall and 1-5 ATS in the last six home games. Penn State is 1-5 ATS in the last six versus the Big Ten and 0-4-1 ATS in their last five Wednesday games.

Iowa seems to have gotten back on track after that ugly 16-point loss to the Boilermakers, and they’ve resumed plowing through the Midwest with big wins.

They’ll face a Penn State team that’s struggling this year, and mired in a difficult stretch of schedule as well. I don’t see the Nittany Lions putting up too much of a fight here, so I’m going with the Hawkeyes.

Iowa Hawkeyes +1
