Saint Joseph’s trailed by 12 points at the break before dominating the second half 43-27 behind 43.1% from the floor including 12-28 from distance.

Charlie Brown Jr. lifted the Hawks with a game high 31 points and 14 rebounds with Taylor Funk adding 12 points and five pulls.

Jared Bynum gave St. Joes another 12 points and four helpers followed by a nine point, ten rebound performance from Chris Clover.

The Penn Quakers snapped a four game slide with a 77-70 victory against Big Five rival Temple a week ago as a seven point underdog.

Penn jumped to a ten point lead at the intermission and kept Temple at arm’s length the rest of the way behind 52.8% sharpshooting.

AJ Brodeur did everything for the Quakers with 16 points, seven rebounds and five helpers with Devon Goodman adding 15 points, three yanks and four assists.

Penn saw 14 points from Jakub Mijakowski followed by Jake Silpe and Bryce Washington with a combined 17 points and ten rebounds.
