Pittsburgh Panthers +12 O/U: 152.5
The Duke Blue Devils and the Pittsburgh Panthers will meet up in college basketball action on Tuesday.
Duke rolls into this one on a 15-2 record so far. The Devils had a nice winning streak going into the Syracuse game, but lost 95-91 before regaining their footing against Virginia 72-70 on Saturday.
In the win over the Cavaliers, Duke’s RJ Barrett led the way on 30 points, five rebounds and three assists. Also in double-figures for the Blue Devils was Zion Williamson, with 27 points and nine rebounds.
Over on the Pitt side, they’re currently 12-6 this season. The Panthers are just 1-2 in their last three games however, beating Florida State and falling to both NC State and Syracuse.
In the loss to Syracuse, Pitt’s top man was Jared Wilson-Frame with 19 points and eight rebounds. Xavier Johnson also had a solid line there on 17 points, seven rebounds and three assists.
The Blue Devils are 7-1 ATS in their last eight Tuesday games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven following a straight-up win. The Devils are 2-5 ATS in their last seven versus the ACC and the over is 4-0 in their last four Tuesday games.
Meanwhile, the Panthers are 4-0-1 ATS in their last five after a straight-up loss and 5-1 ATS in their last five home games. Pitt is 4-1 ATS in their last five Tuesday games and 17-5-1 ATS in their last 23 overall.
Well, you can love Duke or hate Duke; the situation always comes down to how they’re performing on the court, and in this case—aside from a couple of stumbles, the Devils are doing what they do every year.
Now, can Pitt realistically get in there and cover? I would say they’ve got a good chance, but the Panthers have to play tight defense and take away the easy buckets for the Blue Devils. I’m not in love with the pick, but I’m taking Pitt to eke out a cover in a Duke win.
