The Eastern Washington Eagles and the Portland State Vikings meet in college basketball action from Stott Center on Saturday.
Eastern Washington comes in here at 16-8 so far. The Eagles are 1-2 in their last three games, beating Montana State while otherwise falling to Montana and Idaho during that time.
In the loss to the Vandals, Eastern Washington’s Mason Peatling doubled up on 21 points with 10 rebounds and two assists. Jacob Davison also scored 21 points, adding three assists and two rebounds.
Over on the Portland State side, they’re 12-13 so far. The Vikings are 2-3 in their last five games, losing to Sacramento State, Northern Arizona and Southern Utah while otherwise beating Montana and Northern Colorado.
In the win over the Bears, Portland State’s Alonzo Walker led the team on 22 points with four rebounds. Both Sal Nuhu and Lamar Hamrick had 13 points apiece, combining for five assists and 14 rebounds.
The Vikings are 11-2-1 ATS in the last 14 Saturday games and 12-4 ATS in their last 16 home games. Portland State is 1-4 ATS in their last five after a straight-up win and the over is 7-2 in their last nine overall.
Meanwhile. the Eagles are 9-3-1 ATS in their last 13 after a straight-up loss and 9-4-1 ATS in their last 14 after an ATS loss. The under is 4-1 in the Eagles’ last five overall and 4-1-1 in their last six road games.
Outside of a pretty bleak 57 points versus Southern Utah, the Vikings have been scoring pretty well lately. In the other three of their last four games, Portland State has put up at least 82 points in each outing.
The last time these teams met was a 71-69 home win for Eastern Washington, and this one should be another entertaining game. All things considered, I like the Vikings to cover here and get some revenge.
