Portland State Vikings -5 O/U: 152.5
The Northern Arizona Lumberjacks and the Portland State Vikings will meet up on the college basketball court Thursday.
Northern Arizona enters this one on a 7-16 mark so far. The Lumberjacks have lost their last three straight games, dropping to Eastern Washington, Idaho State and Weber State in that time.
In the loss to the Wildcats, Northern Arizona’s Ted McCree led the team with 17 points and five rebounds. The only other Lumberjack in double-figures in that one was Bernie Andre with 13 points and eight boards.
Over on the Portland State side, they’re 9-14 this year. The Vikings have also lost their last three straight, falling to Idaho State, Northern Colorado and Sacramento State during that trio of outings.
In the loss to the Hornets, Portland State’s Michael Nuga led the charge on 19 points and three rebounds. Holland Woods was the only other Vikings player in double-figures there with 11 points and five assists.
Northern Arizona is 5-2 ATS in their last seven after an ATS loss and 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games. The Lumberjacks are 0-4 ATS in their last four Thursday games and the over is 4-1 in the last five overall.
Meanwhile, the Vikings are 3-7-1 ATS in the last 11 home games and 6-18-2 ATS in their last 26 overall. Portland State is 4-12-1 ATS in their last 17 versus the Big Sky and 3-10 ATS in their last 13 Thursday games.
Northern Arizona turned in a couple of good performances in late January/early February, but since then they’ve only been close in one game (81-79 at home against Idaho State.
Still, I think the Lumberjacks can get some mojo back here against a sketchy Portland State team. I’m going to go with Northern Arizona on the cover and possible win.
