As a team, Weber State is averaging 82.2 points per game on 46.6% shooting from the field, 36% from 3-point range and 74.3% from the foul line this season.
The Portland State Vikings will look to build some steam after snapping a 5-game losing streak with a 77-74 overtime win over Montana in their last outing. Holland Woods led the Vikings with 28 points on 6 of 11 shooting with 3 threes and a 13 of 15 mark from the foul line and a team-high 3 assists. Jamie Orme added 13 points on 6 of 9 shooting while Robert McCoy and Michael Mayhew added 10 points each to round out the scoring in double figures for Portland State in the win with McCoy adding 11 rebounds while Mayhew added a pair of threes and 3 steals. Woods leads the Vikings with an average of 15.2 points and 5 assists per game while McCoy leads Portland State in rebounds with 6.5 rebounds per game this season. As a team, Portland State is averaging 79.3 points per game on 40.9% shooting from the field, 28.5% from behind the arc and 67.3% from the foul line this season.
Weber State is 2-6-1 ATS in their last 9 road games and 5-12-1 ATS in their last 18 games overall while the under is 4-1-1 in their last 6 games following a loss. Portland State is 1-6-1 ATS in their last 8 home games and 7-20-1 ATS in their last 28 games overall while the under is 7-1 in their last 8 games following a win. The road team is 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings between these two teams.
Neither of these two teams are ones I really feel comfortable backing in their current form, however the fact that Weber State is favored on the road I think goes to speak to how poorly the Vikings have played as of late. Furthermore, Weber State has won the last 6 meetings between these two teams by at least 3 points, and given that the line is only at a single bucket, I’ll take my chance and lay the points with Weber State on the road here.
