The Prairie View A&M Panthers take the floor with the Grambling State Tigers in the semifinals of the SWAC college basketball tournament.

The Grambling State Tigers reached the semifinals with a 59-52 victory against the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions as a five point favorite.

Devante Jackson led the Tigers offense with 12 points and nine rebounds with Ivy Smith Jr. adding ten points, three yanks and three assists.

Axel Mpoyo gave Grambling State another nine points followed by Zavier Peart and Dallas Polk-Hillard with a combined 15 points.

The Prairie View A&M Panthers routed the Alcorn State Braves 86-76 as a 15.5 point underdog to punch their ticket to the conference semifinals.

Devontae Patterson was the Panthers top gun, pouring in a game high 25 points with seven rebounds while Dennis Jones tossed in eleven points and grabbed seven boards.

Chancellor Ellis and Taishaun Johnson gave Prairie View A&M eleven points each followed by Gary Blackston with nine points, four pulls, four helpers and four steals.

Over is 6-2 in Grambling last 8 overall and under is 8-3 in Grambling last 11 neutral site games and Grambling are 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall.

Under is 7-3 in PV last 10 neutral site games.

I think Prairie View will pull away to win and cover in the second half and prove while the team won the SWAC…

Pick:
Prairie View -3

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
