Purdue Boilermakers -8 O/U: 143.5
The Indiana Hoosiers and the Purdue Boilermakers will meet up on the college basketball court Saturday.
Indiana enters this one at 12-5 on the season. The Hoosiers have lost three straight games against tough teams, dropping to Michigan, Maryland and Nebraska during that span.
In the loss to the Cornhuskers, Indiana guard Romeo Langford logged 18 points, six rebounds and one assist to lead the team. The only other Hoosier in double-figures was Juwan Morgan on 17 points and eight rebounds.
Over on the Purdue side, they’re sitting at 11-6 on the season. After a blowout loss to Michigan State on January 8, the Boilermakers have won their last two games against Wisconsin and Rutgers.
In the win over the Scarlet Knights, Purdue’s lead scorer was Carsen Edwards with 19 points, six assists and five rebounds. Doubling up for the Boilermakers in that one was Trevion Williams, with 16 points and 13 boards.
The Hoosiers are 6-2 ATS in the last eight Saturday games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven versus the Big Ten. Indiana is 1-4 ATS in their last five following a straight-up loss and the under is 9-3-1 ATS in their last 13 road games.
Meanwhile, the Boilermakers are 0-6-1 ATS in their last seven Saturday games and 4-14-1 ATS in their last 19 versus the Big Ten. Purdue is 3-8 ATS in their last 11 following an ATS win and 6-16 ATS in the last 22 following a straight-up win.
Some of the luster has worn off Indiana following that home loss to Nebraska—who is admittedly a good team, but 22 points in the first half and 29 in the second just don’t cut it against anyone for a nationally-ranked team like the Hoosiers.
That’s not good news for Indiana, because Purdue could potentially give them some trouble here. I just don’t have enough faith in the Hoosiers to pull things together at this point, so I’m going with the Boilermakers on the cover.
