NCAA BB | Nebraska Cornhuskers (11-5) at Purdue Boilermakers (14-2)

Up at Mackey Arena on Saturday, the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Purdue Boilermakers will be matching up in college basketball action.

Nebraska enters this game at 11-5 on the season. The Cornhuskers have won their last four games, most recently taking out Northwestern on Tuesday. In that game, Nebraska’s Glynn Watson put up 19 points.

On the year, James Palmer is the top Nebraska scorer with 15.3 PPG, and Watson is second on 12.4 PPG. Also in double-figures for the Cornhuskers are Isaac Copeland (12.1 PPG; 6.8 RPG) and Anton Gill (10.4 PPG).

Over on the Purdue side, they’re sitting at 14-2 this year. The Boilermakers currently have a 10-game winning streak to their credit, with the last win coming against Rutgers. In that one, Purdue center Isaac Haas put up 14 points.

Carson Edwards leads the Purdue attack this year with 17.8 PPG, and Haas is second on 14.8 PPG. Also in double-figures for the Boilermakers are Vincent Edwards (13.6 PPG; 8.5 RPG) and Dakota Mathias (13.4 PPG).

Nebraska is 5-0 ATS in their last five games overall and 5-2 ATS in their last seven Saturday games. The Cornhuskers are also 2-6 ATS in their last eight versus the Big Ten and the under is 5-0 in their last five Saturday games.

Meanwhile, Purdue is 12-3-2 ATS in their last 17 Saturday games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games following an ATS win. The Boilermakers are also 34-15-2 ATS in their last 51 home games and 18-8-3 ATS in their last 29 versus the Big 10.

Although Nebraska has a couple of weird losses from earlier in the season, they’ve been playing well lately, including a close 73-72 loss to Kansas last month. As for Purdue, the offense is clicking right now, and they’ve put up at least 80 points in their last six straight games. Still, I think Nebraska has enough talent to hang around here so I’ll take the Cornhuskers.

Nebraska Cornhuskers +17.5
