Sunday college basketball features the Quinnipiac Bobcats hosting the Drexel Dragons.

The Drexel Dragons chance at a third win in a row fell short in a 91-76 loss at UMBC as a two point home favorite. Drexel looked to be in the driver’s seat with and eight point lead at the intermission before the Retrievers went off on a 56-33 second half run behind a 60.3%-50% edge in marksmanship.

Troy Harper led a strong Dragons offense with 22 points on 8-17 from the floor and 4-6 at the line followed by Trevor John with 14 points on 5-10 accuracy including 4-9 from distance. James Butler gave Drexel 13 points and eight rebounds on 5-5 marksmanship while Tim Perry Jr. added eight points and seven boards.

The Quinnipiac Bobcats have won consecutive contests with an 88-77 victory against visiting Lafayette as a seven point home favorite. Quinnipiac took control early with a 15 point lead at the half behind 54% accuracy and a 21-8 edge at the stripe to outdistance the Leopards 47.6% shooting and 13 more shots.

Cameron Yong led all scorers with 28 points and four pulls on 9-17 from the floor and 6-7 at the line while Tyrese Williams added 16 points, four boards and seven helpers on 5-8 shooting including four bombs. The Bobcats received ten points apiece from Aaron Robinson, Travis Atson and Kevin Marfo with Marfo hauling in a game high eight rebounds.

Over is 6-2 in Drexel last 8 overall and over is 6-2 in Drexel last 8 non-conference games. Under is 10-1 in Quinnipiac last 11 overall and under is 8-1 in Quinnipiac last 9 non-conference games and Quinnipiac are 2-6-1 ATS in their last 9 Sunday games.

There isn’t anything that leaps out and says either team has a nice edge. Quinnipiac has shown some potential so I’m looking at the Bobcats…

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
