The Charlotte 49ers  visit the Rice Owls for the second straight matchup between CUSA college basketball rivals.

The Rice Owls have struggled throughout their conference schedule but the victory at Charlotte gave the team a three game winning streak.

Drew Peterson paced a balanced Owls attack with 15 points and six pulls followed by Chris Mullins with 14 points and eight rebounds.

Robert Martin and Ako Mullins supplied Rice with 12 points apiece while Jack Williams and Quentin Millora-Brown adding nine points and seven boards each.

Rice has been at their best to close the regular season and I’d rather be with them then against them right now…

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
