The Marshall Thundering Herd battle the Rice Owls in a Saturday CUSA college basketball tilt.

The Marshall Thundering Herd have dropped back to back contests after a 78-51  loss at North Texas on Thursday where both ends of the floor struggled.

Marshall was down ten at the half and had no answers over the final 20 minutes with just 28.1% marksmanship to lean on.

Tavion Kinsey was the go to scorer for the Thundering Herd with Rondale Watson tossing in eleven points and posted four boards.

CJ Burks gave Marshall nine points followed by Jannson Williams and Jon Elmore with six points and four points and a combined ten rebounds.

The Rice Owls have lost three of four after falling to visiting Western Kentucky 92 85 in 2OT on Thursday as a five point underdog.

Ako Adams kept Rice in the game with 23 points and four pulls with Quentin Millora-Brown adding 13 points and eleven rebounds.

Rice received 13 points and three yanks from Chris Mullins while Josh Parrish and Jack Williams combined for 17 points and 13 boards.
