Atlantic Ten college basketball pits the La Salle Explorers against the Richmond Spiders.

The Ka Salle Explorers have followed a four game skid with two wins after downing UMass 60-51 on Wednesday as a two point home dog.

La Salle took an eight points advantage at the break and traded baskets the rest of the way with the Minutemen limited to 22.5% from the floor.

Saul Phiri led the Explorers attack with 14 points and four pulls followed by Isiah Deas who tossed in 12 points and posted six boards.

David Beatty gave La Salle eleven points with Pookie Powell and Ed Croswell netting nine points apiece with Croswell hauling in ten rebounds.

The struggling Richmond Spiders snapped a four game slide with an 84-81 upset of Saint Louis as a ten point road underdog.

Richmond took a seven point lead in to the intermission and kept the Billikens at bay over the second half behind 57.7% marksmanship.

Jacob Gilyard led the Spiders scoring explosion with 24 points and six boards with Grant Golden adding 23 points, seven rebounds and four helpers.

Richmond saw another 21 points, four yanks and four assists from Nathan Cayo followed by an eight point effort by Jake Wojcik.
