The St. Bonaventure Bonnies and the Richmond Spiders meet in A-10 conference college basketball action from Robins Center on Saturday evening.

The St. Bonaventure Bonnies will look to find some consistency after splitting their last 6 games following a 65-51 road win over UMass in their last outing. Kyle Lofton led the Bonnies with 24 points on 8 of 13 shooting with 3 threes while Courtney Stockard added 12 points along with 9 rebounds, 4 assists, a pair of steals and a pair of blocks. Dominick Welch added 11 points with 3 threes and 4 assists of his own to round out the trio of double-digit scorers for the Bonnies in the winning effort while LaDarien Griffin added 4 points and 9 rebounds as well in the victory. Lofton leads St. Bonaventure with an average of 13.9 points and 4.1 assists per game while Osun Osunniyi leads the Bonnies in rebounding with 5.9 rebounds per game this season. As a team, St. Bonaventure is averaging 67.8 points per game on 43.6% shooting from the field, 32.7% from behind the 3-point line and 74.3% from the foul line this season.

The Richmond Spiders could use a win after losing 3 straight and 5 of their last 6 games following a 74-70 loss to St. Joseph’s in their last outing. Grant Golden led the Spiders with 24 points on 9 of 19 shooting with team-highs of 5 rebounds, 4 assists and a pair of blocks while Nathan Cayo added 21 points on 9 of 14 as the only other Richmond player to score in double figures in the loss. Jacob Gilyard added 9 points with 4 assists and 3 steals as well in the defeat for the Spiders. Golden leads Richmond with an average of 18.1 points and 7 rebounds per game while Gilyard leads the Spiders in assists with 5.5 assists per game this season. As a team, Richmond is averaging 70.1 points per game on 46.6% shooting from the field, 32.6% from behind the arc and 67.4% from the foul line this season.

St. Bonaventure is 1-8-1 ATS in their last 10 road games and 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 games against a team with a losing record while the under is 12-5-1 in their last 18 games overall. Richmond is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games while the over is 20-7 in their last 27 conference games. St. Bonaventure is 1-6 ATS in the last 7 meetings between these two teams and 1-5 ATS in the last 6 meetings between these two teams at Richmond.

St. Bonaventure has gotten the upper hand on Richmond as of late, and while the Bonnies have had issues with consistency, one thing that Richmond has done consistently as of late is lose, so you could make a point for the free points with St. Bonaventure. However, the Bonnies haven’t been the best team in the world to back on the road, and while Richmond hasn’t been very good at home, the Spiders have at least had the upper hand on St. Bonaventure in recent years in this matchup both overall and at home. I think Richmond finally puts a complete performance together and gets the win here so I’ll lay the points with Richmond in this one.
