Thursday college basketball features the Rider Broncs hosting the Saint Peter’s Peacocks.

The Saint  Peter’s  Peacocks look  to  get back in  the win column after a 77-58 loss to Quinnipiac as a five point road underdog.

Saint Peter’s trailed by 12 points after 20 minutes and never found the groove with Quinnipiac sinking half their looks with a 22-7 edge at the line.

Davauhnte Turner  topped the  Peacocks  attack with 15  points and three helpers while Samuel Idowu tossed in 14 points.

Saint Peter’s received eight points from Dallas Watson followed by Quinn Taylor with six and five points and a combined 14 rebounds.

The Rider Broncs improved to 5-1 in the  MAAC  after squeezing past Marist 86-85 on Sunday as a 10.5 home favorite.

The Broncs appeared to be in trouble with a ten point deficit staring them in the face but a 51.8% marksmanship and a 17-12 edge at the stripe bailed the team out.

Stevie Jordan gave Rider 18 points and five pulls followed by Frederick Scott with 15 points and nine rebounds with Jordan Allen tossing in 14 points.

The Broncs received 12 points and five yanks from Dimencio Vaughn while Tyere Marshall and Anthony Durham with ten points apiece.

Saint Peter’s Peacocks are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a straight up loss and are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 vs. Metro Atlantic Athletic. Rider Broncs are 6-15 ATS in their last 21 games overall and  are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 vs. Metro Atlantic Athletic. Over is 9-2 in the last 11 meetings in Rider and Saint Peter’s Peacocks are 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings.

Rider has blowout potential but tend to play things close in the first half. The Peacocks are up against it here but I’d take the points or walk away…

Saint Peter's +12

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
