The Rutgers Scarlet Knights will look to build on back-to-back wins after a 70-55 win over Maine in their last outing. Eugene Omoruyi led the Knights with 17 points on 7 of 12 shooting while Caleb McConnell added 14 points with 3 threes and Myles Johnson added 10 points on a perfect 4 of 4 from the field with 10 rebounds for the double-double to round out the trio of double-digit scorers for Rutgers in the win. Maryland is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games against a team with a winning home record while the under is 12-4 in their last 16 conference games. Rutgers is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 home games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a win while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 conference games. Maryland is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings between these two teams.
Unless there’s something that I’m missing, I’m not sure why the line is this low for this game. Maryland has done really well ATS on the road this season, as a matter of fact you could argue that away from home, Maryland has played some of their best basketball. Furthermore, while Rutgers has played some tight games lately, the fact is that Maryland is the better team here and in recent meetings, it hasn’t been that close. Maryland is 6-0 SU against Rutgers since 2015, with the last 5 wins coming by double digits. I’ll side with Maryland here as I think this low line is a gift and it’s one that I’ll gladly accept.
