Big Ten college basketball action pits the Northwestern Wildcats against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.

The Northwestern Wildcats have dropped back to back contests after an 80-60 loss at Michigan on Sunday as a 13 point underdog.

Northwestern was taken out of their game early with 22 point hole staring them in the face with Michigan holding a 52.2%-42.6% shooting edge.

The Wildcats saw Dererk Pardon pump in 20 points with Ryan Taylor in his shadows with another 15 points.

Anthony Gaines gave Northwestern eight points and ten rebounds followed by an eight point effort by Miller Kopp in 23 minutes off the bench.

The Rutgers Scarlet Knights have lost  two  straight following  an 89-54 rout  at Purdue  on  Tuesday as a 14.5 point road dog.

Rutgers trailed by ten heading to the locker room but never mounted a comeback with the Boilermakers holding a 50%-37.8% shooting edge.

The struggling Scarlet Knights offense saw Myles Johnson net 13 points and haul in eight rebounds while Geo Baker added 13 points and four pulls.

Ron Harper Jr. and Caleb McConnell gave Rutgers nine points each and six pulls with Shaq Carter and Montez Mathis tossing in eight points apiece and a combined ten boards.
