The Sacramento State Hornets face off with the Cal State Fullerton Titans in west coast college basketball action.

The Cal State Fullerton Titans need to get back in the win column after an 80-71 loss to Hofstra left the team looking at a 2-4 record. Both teams sank shots in the 46% range but the Pride mustered six more shots and held a 17-9 advantage at the charity stripe.

Kyle Allman had a career day for the Titans as he poured in a game high 38 points with three yanks on 12-22 accuracy including 8-14 from down town. Fullerton received 13 points and five boards from Khalil Ahmad on 5-10 from the floor while Jackson Rowe added 12 points and eleven rebounds on 6-10 shooting.

The Sacramento State Hornets are off to a 2-0 start to the 2018-19 season after squeezing by UC Davis 58-55 on Tuesday. Defense was the name of the game with both teams sinking shots in the 37%-38% range with Sacramento State holding a 10-4 advantage at the charity stripe for the decisive edge.

The balanced Hornets offense saw Ethan Esposito, Marcus Graves and Joshua Patton each tossing in eleven points and combining for 17 rebounds with Graves handing out eight assists. Osi Nwachukwu gave Sacramento State nine points and six boards while Izayah Mauriohooho-Le’afa and Bryce Fowler netting seven points apiece.
