Sacramento State Hornets -1.5 O/U: 152
The Montana State Bobcats and the Sacramento State Hornets will meet up on the college basketball circuit Thursday.
Montana enters this game at 14-14 overall. After consecutive losses to Weber State and Montana, the Bobcats have won their last pair versus Northern Arizona and Southern Utah.
In the win over the Thunderbirds, Montana State’s leading scorer was Harald Frey with 32 points, six assists and seven rebounds. Ladan Ricketts added 21 points for the Bobcats there and Tyler Hall had 15 points, eight rebounds and five assists.
Over on the Sacramento State side, they’re 13-14 this year. The Hornets are 1-2 in their last three games, with a win over Eastern Washington sandwiched between losses to Portland State and Idaho.
In their loss to the Vandals, Sac State’s Jordan Tolbert topped the scoring on 21 points, and Izayah Mauriohooho-Le’afa logged 18 points with five assists. Marcus Graves chipped in 17 points and eight assists for the Hornets there as well.
The Bobcats are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games and 4-1 ATS in their last five Thursday games. Montana State is 8-2 ATS in their last 10 overall and 5-2 ATS in their last seven after an ATS win.
Meanwhile, the Hornets are 5-1 ATS in their last six Thursday games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven after an ATS loss. Sac State is 1-4 ATS in their last five overall land 6-1 ATS in their last seven after a straight-up loss.
The good news for Montana State is that they’ve been scoring very well lately. The Bobcats have produced at least 74 points in each of their last seven games, but on the other side they’ve also been pretty permissive.
The last matchup between these teams was an 84-70 home win for Montana State. I think this one will go similarly in a close game, but I like the Bobcats to manage a cover/victory here.
