The Citadel Bulldogs take the floor with the Samford Bulldogs in a SoCon college basketball first round playoff tilt.

The Citadel Bulldogs head to the SoCon postseason off of an 81-71 loss at the VMI Keydets as a one point road favorite on Saturday.

Zane Najdawi carried the Bulldogs offense with 25 points and seven boards with Lew Stallworth adding 21 points, ten rebounds and five helpers.

Matt Frierson was next in line for the Citadel with 13 points and two yanks followed by Connor Kern with 12 points and another nine rebounds.

The Bulldogs dropped seven of ten to end the season to finish 8thin the standings despite possessing the #4 offense in the game that averages 85.6 points.

The Samford Bulldogs lost four in a row to finish off the regular season capped off by an 85-64 defeat against visiting Wofford on Saturday.

Robert Allen topped the Bulldogs attack with 16 points and eleven rebounds with Josh Sharkey adding another 16 points with four pulls and five helpers.

Samford saw 12 points and four boards from Ruben Guerrero followed by Myron Gordon and Brandon Austin tossing in nine and seven points.
