East Tennessee State has won 9 of their last 10 games and have been outstanding on both sides of the ball this season as the Buccaneers currently rank 37th in scoring offense, 67th in scoring defense, and 1st in rebound margin. The Samford Bulldogs have lost 5 of their last 7 games, however, the Bulldogs have looked outstanding recent in their road games at Wofford & Furman, and come into this match-up ranked 55th in scoring offense, 40th in FG%, and 87th in defensive FG%.
This should be a solid match-up on Thursday as both East Tennessee State & Samford are two very good programs and will be teams to watch when the Conference Tournament starts. We picked up a couple of nice ATS wins with Samford last week in their games against Wofford & Furman, however, I think the Bulldogs are going to struggle a bit with the size of the Buccaneers and between the fact that the Buccaneers should be able to own the glass and have won the last 8 match-ups against Samford, I’m taking East Tennessee State to cover this small road spread.
